Uruguay is projected in Times Square
Uruguay is once again projecting itself on the world stage by showcasing its technological potential on the screen of Nasdaq, the global financial epicenter in New York.
For its 2024 edition, Uruguay's benchmark technology event, Punta Tech Meetup, invited the Uruguay Innovation Hub program to highlight the unique lifestyle, cutting-edge talent, disruptive capacity and commitment to innovation that characterize our country. This collaboration has further contributed to Uruguay's positioning as a technology and business hub that is firmly committed to the knowledge economy.
Punta Tech Meetup, the meeting point for technology leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, capital funds and the local business community, returns in its 16th edition to the place where it all began: the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Atchugarry (MACA). The return to the origin combines continuity and change: a panel of world-class speakers and, at the same time, the magic of the most intimate face to face.
As part of Nasdaq's partnership with Punta Tech, an audiovisual video was shown on its iconic curved screen in Times Square. This year the piece was produced between Punta Tech and Uruguay Innovation Hub in order to deliver a strong and impactful joint message about Uruguay's characteristics. This outstanding presence of Uruguay at Nasdaq emphasizes our country's strong commitment to technology, innovation and the knowledge economy. The country stands as a major player in Latin America and is determined to maintain its relevance in the international arena.
